Empty bottles/tubes = shopping time :’D

shu uemura ~ white recovery EX+ (450 & 50ml): Another finished bottle + a sample bottle that my sis bought for my sample bottle collection (I have a 8ml and 20ml bottle already). Great cleansing oil and I always go back to it after having tried other brands such as Fancel. Lasted about 5-6 months so the cost evens out alright I’m still not too sure about the new formula, might go back to the fresh version after my current bottle, but will have to see.

shu uemura ~ Brush Cleaner: I really only used this for spot cleaning and spraying after I deep clean to disinfect my brushes. It’s not bad but it has a VERY strong alcohol smell which means the alcohol content is probably quite high. Didn’t repurchase due to the strong alcohol, but mainly due to not being able to recycle the glass bottle properly (there’s no box/bin for it!). Switched to MAC instead as its slightly better in value, less alcohol and I can back-to-mac it XD.

premium G.O.L.D. Cacao pack: Ippus introduced me to this mask and apparently its suppose to help improve skin like acne problems and help tighten pores ect. Well I’m not sure how well it worked on my acne but it didn’t break me out, definitely felt my skin tighten after using it and also made my skin look less tired =D Last time Ippus and I bought 4 tubes before she left X’D (I took 1 the rest were hers)

Clinique ~ liquid soap for oily skin 3: I didn’t like the menthol or similar stuff that was in this, but since it was summer the pushy sales suggested I use this instead of the mild one. Its great for waking up in the mornings, but I don’t like using this at night and it sorta stings my eyes. Didn’t repurchase due to the menthol mostly, I might go back to the mild version after my current cleanser, but its hard to get the last bits out and doesn’t foam as well as some of the other cleansers I use.

Clinique ~ clarifying moisture lotion 3: I went back to clinique stuff due to freaking out about my skin reacting to stuff, but I remembered I didn’t like the normal toner as it stings … they reformulated it but still … went to try this one instead as it has no alcohol in it. But not repurchasing even through it didn’t dry out by skin but didn’t seem to do anything else. Price is ok, but I would expect a little more.

Skin Food ~ Peach Sake Toner: I adore the smell of this toner, it smells just as wonderful as the loose powder that I have from the same line. In terms of function I can’t say the same ;; Doesn’t seem to do very much as I didn’t notice much difference and it didn’t seem to help with oil control. Didn’t repurchase as it wasn’t very economical (unless I find it in Sino or something as it only lasted for barely 1 1/2 months) and my quest for a toner goes on <.< I don't think I ever bought the same toner twice … at least not in the past 3-4 years …

Clinique ~ all about eyes: Thanks to someone pointing out my eye bags or was it dark circles were becoming quite visible (this was back in April) I went and bought eye cream seeing as I’m already 20 something and prevention is always better in combating problems. Not being very sure of what to get I got this one as my aunt used it before and I think its a safe choice. I repurchased this as it seemed ok, but then again I’m on the fence about using eye creams in general.

shu uemura ~ liquid eye liner: I like this and dislike it at the same time. Its great when the ink is flowing properly and the staying power is good, also I really like the felt tip. But the tip tends to clog and you get either patchy bits or an unsmooth line … I did repurchase this as its really quick and easy to use and good for touch ups (just hope it doesn’t clog and you’ll be fine)

Majolica Majorca ~ lash expander frame plus: Currently my HG mascara, very black and holds curls nicely, unlike the lash gorgeous wing the fibers don’t fall much and certainly doesn’t smudge on me <.< It also separates my lashes nicely giving it decent length, with base it gives a little more volume too. Repurchased 2 tubes in Taiwan as its cheaper there and they were doing promotions (came with free gifts hehe)

Since its a long weekend (Friday – National day) I finally dug around for things to restock our cubic box at MC². It’s now fully restocked (well for stuff that can be restocked, some stuff sold out finally XD yeah!) added in postcards and bookmarks that remained from previous conventions as well we have more space.
Vocaloid Song Calendar 2011 is also up for pre-orders (sorry HK only), found our pre-order promotion poster from the suit case so was able to finally put that up. For international pre-orders please wait for Ippus to sort things out and put up information! Like our previous book pre-order comes with a poster so look out for that too!

Just happy to have another thing done. Seeing our box so full makes me happy as it means I fully utilized the box, inside and outside. I even have my petite nendoriod Len and Kaito there to add to the Vocaloid pre-order theme :’D

We’ll be around for the first day, most likely cosplaying and stuff, but no table until I manage to find someone who is willing to share tables with us for that day.

Sheryl Nome, Universal Bunny (White) Cosplay
I know I’m too blobby for Sheryl but oh what the hell. I like Sheryl and that’s that! What’s wrong with wanting to be a character you admire?

So despite relentlessly returning from prior Rainbow Galas in complete disappointment, we went and rented half a stall for RG5, if anything to just have a platform to cosplay at. Like every year RG manages to come up with new ways for us to freak out and rage, but on the whole it was better than last year, and the year before.

We thank again to everyone who has come to buy our books, and really hope you enjoyed them. We’re considering working on a calendar much earlier this year on popular request which will probably appear in the summer if we’re lucky- along with a mini-artbooklet full of Tsuna cosplays of things that unhappify him, just because the reception for our giant KIRA~!Tsuna banner and namecard was so great XD OH! And a lot of 1827 HibaTsuna. I decided that I should do that and make many girls cry before I go overseas lol

<Warning, Long Pointless, Irate Rant ahead. Just ignore if uninterested. It’s really not worth your time. I know. I wrote it. I’ll put another tag where the rant ends and change the rant’s colour in case you can’t tell.>

So the horror stories. Well two years ago it was the failtastical buttons the shop told us without prompting they can do- which they later returned with half torn on the edges and a few lacking its lamination covers and blamed upon our failure at cutting them properly (I understand if they ended up misaligned the images but the image paper and the plastic covering were both cut o_o What on earth were you trying to press them with!? It was more expensive than doing it where we usually do too >_>;;; ) and typoed circle name information (even if the application was written by the RG person by HAND right in front of kyo-chan who spelled it letter by letter). A year ago we came in late to set up the stall, only to get directed to stand in line like the rest of the crowd, and as we finally reached the counter get told further that it was unnecessary and promptly made us buy overpriced VIP tickets (the sole purpose of VIP tickets is to not have to stand in line…>_> ) to get in. I suppose on hindsight their headless-chicken-like confusion really wouldn’t have been so anger inducing if I wasn’t already exceedingly sleep deprived with kyo-chan freaking out about the non existence of the above cosplay, the heavy load we were dragging around and the fight I had with parents prior to the convention. Oh, and the evil crappy Hatsune Miku song (I am supposing it was some theme song RG group decided to make up) that played on loop throughout the convention whenever nobody was playing on stage- which goes to the next annoyance: A stage, in the middle of the convention hall? Really? Seriously? The noise from that centered stage was so loud that I couldn’t even hear my angry thoughts Gatling away into a migraine. But seriously? There were so many of them sitting at the entryway and not one of them seemed to know very much about what’s going on =A=; I’m also sure we spoke in Chinese so what’s the deal!? *fume*

But this year we went in fully anticipating something to go wrong. There will be a peeve, we just know it. It’s also probably why when kyo-chan came fuming at this year’s peeve of the day occurred, I found myself nodding away and not feeling particularly surprised. Apparently the entryway is full of headless chickens who were inevitably blind this year. A friend of ours (Tania) was meant to come help us out for a little while, but she was unable to get in due to numerous late table owners (and some other random rude people) coming into the line- very OBVIOUSLY cutting in before her- at one point even shoving their tickets to the people in charge right in front of the gate when it was her turn. The headless chickens just nodded and let them through. It’s nice to know that the line is jut for show : ) If you’re an HKer that can read English and intend fully on going to RG again next time, know this:

THE LINE IS A LIE. Just cut in.

Also this year they decided the best way to negate the noise pollution they caused by very intelligently placing a full stage with speakers in the middle of the room, is to say no to rock bands. I know, makes total sense doesn’t it? So they replaced them all with cutesy idol dancing. Lots of them. And I really mean lots of them.

I miss the off pitch band and crappy acapella “cruel angel’s thesis” group. At the very least the united groans from tables nearby would have been interesting.

Another thing that really bothered us…is it REALLY too much to ask if the venue can turn up an aircon? Or at least a dehumidifier? Especially in the cosplay changing rooms you pack us into!?!?? By the end of the day it stunk SO hard in there.  The space was ridiculously inadequate and so out of the way. We walked a whole circle just to find the registration desk. We sweated so much in our cosplays too. Don’t really know how some of the crazy big cosplayers survived;;;

Though I shall give a tip of my hat to the table placements this year. Since last year the middling of the stage caused a TERRIBLE trafficking situation, they redid the layout of the tables by giving them more space between each other when nearer to the stage- along with more space near the stage so that none of the tables will be disturbed by the show watchers. Honestly did a world of difference to the way the place worked. I don’t really see how this would last if they fianlly get as many tables as CW does though. I mean, last time they had a lot of registries, they came up with RG2.5 which was actually 3, leaving everyone befuddled and confused >_>;

I was however told that the kamen-rider gag group this year was particularly good- though kyo-chan and I only got to see the segment where they all went touchy feely on each other with MAGNET blasting on the speakers in a male voice. We were saddened that they never got around to KIRA~!-ing us all when Seikan Hikou came on as they got punished before the 3rd line of the song; Kamen Rider KIRA~! would have been so bastardized….oh well.

More props to the LACK of Hatsune Miku song, though the tinkling ethereal Japan tinkling noise was exceedingly out of place. It does lead to my third props: The Miko themed staff attire was so cute. Whoever made them did a really good job cause they were adorable and really easy to notice. I’m not at all sure what it has to do with the furrified mascots on the promotional fliers but pretty things will always be appreciated.

I just realized all the pictures I’ve posted so far had the hands outstretched pose. Odd coincidence.

To be honest though we spent more time outside of the convention hall than inside, seeing as we had the wonderful Gloria watching our half-stall for us *A* (THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU >A< Once kyoko’s TP ends we’re really buying you lunch ;_____; ) which is probably why we came out of it this year far less irate than usual (Indeed asides from my recounting of prior experiences I don’t feel much anger this year). The cosplays aren’t as interesting as before…probably a sign of how dull anime land has been lately (or maybe it’s only for me loool). It’s been mostly VOCALOID, DRRR and Umineko no Naku Koro Ni since RG5 had some Umineko event going on (ah…I actually didn’t go see that section. Ah well, I’m nto a huuggge fan anyway. I really think Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni was better.)

The only vocaloid group I have a decent picture of. I took a photo of a “World is Mine” Miku + Kaito set (even if I’m not a fan…they had a whole setup dammit; ) but it turned out uber blurry *sigh*

Epic GwaiLo cosplay. I haven’t a clue what that is but it looks awesome. Dio Brando from Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventure. We’re not sure if it’s the same guy from last time but little kids REALLY liked him hahaha. The Guy knows really epic Otaku speak too o_o; Some photographer greeted him and said something I’m supposing was a japanese phrase related to his costume, he responded right back like a hardcore otaku. It was strangely Gar. I don’t really know how else to put it. It was weird too.

Epic Star wars group. They had such awesome lightsabers (I WANT ONE *A*) They makes these awesome FWOOSHFWOOSH noises. They even had the star wars theme playing but I’m supposing it’s coming from the swords…? Iunno? This one was with flash and:

Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle? Clearly I haven’t a clue who this is so someone explain lool Ikuto from Shugo Chara. She was so cute all by her lonesome >A<! So patient as we all came by one by one to take photos of her too.

Oh this one is one of my favorites. We came with creepily happy smiles asking for a photo so they had to set up (again). Note the weirded out look on his face as the creepy grinning cosplay girl takes retarded photos of him being helped into his headband.

Now that we have the FF nostalgia going. really cute FFX cosplay *A* Hate the game but they’re so pretty T^T

And who can forget Sephiroth? His sword was so crazy long. When he swung it around to get into pose it really looked like the Crisis Core animations *A* I want that sword, or at least the AC Cloud sword so that I can cosplay AC Cloudette. There was a Zack/Cloud pair but…honestly didn’t realize who they were until I saw the buster swords. It was that hard to recognize;;;

This is totally the cosplay to end all cosplays and I will explain why. For starters it has a really really epic Black Rock Shooter Gun. It’s insanely detailed, and seemingly very heavy:

Insane innit? Haven’t ever seen anyone with the Gun let alone one so well made. It’s even textured *A* Unsurprisingly BRS came with Sephiroth and his epic swishy sword.

BRS is unhappy that the sword and Gun cannot be held at once. The last time BRS tried it went THUNK on the ground and Sephiroth was displeased over the treatment of his weapon. I will also admit that there is something very wrong with BRS’s cosplay which also oddly enough goes to the second reason as to why BRS is the cosplay to end all cosplays.

Take a good look at what might be wrong. It’s a trap. Totally. It even has an Adam’s Apple and everything. You totally can’t tell at all from the front. Even his legs were womanly. HOW!? Then again it totally explains how he managed to carry that frekkin heavy gun around. Insane I tell you.

As we were getting ready to return to our table to pack up, the Alice in Wonderland group appeared ;_; AHHHG, they even had the Red Queen, but by then we were already leaving ~_~; I really want Alice’s red dress from the movie *A*

Should have covered it all, I didn’t really listen to much of May’n's first CD, but from what I’ve been told Styles was much better. Either way I’m happy with it XDD hopefully her next CDs will be just as good.

I am so not a Death Note fan, but I got it anyway just so that I’d have more body parts to play with. It’s why I got the second round of Death Note petites as they have more casual clothes X’D

Also ended up buying a Maidoroid (finally) so you’ll be seeing more Maido!Len from me as well (Not just Kyoko’s haha).

I haven’t had enough time to fool around with the other DN body-parts yet so I’ll probably post up another round of photos after this XD

Frankly this is the main reason for why I wanted the DN set in the first place. That black suit. *SHOT*

Kowloon Bay Convention Center. We’re usually only ever here for cosplaying and CWHK/RG conventions so this was kind of new for us, watching stage shows and all.

Up and ready to fangirl like mad. Why the dude next to us was staring into the camera will forever be a mystery to us. Then again he seemed to have come alone…which we find somewhat creepy and tragic at the same time. We wouldn’t have the balls to come to a concert by ourselves…it’s why I missed Yoshiki’s concert (HOMG BASARAAAAAA ;_____; FAIYAA BOMBAAAAAAAAAA) in the winter as Kyo-chan was out in Japan T^T (At least you came back with happy happy happy platform shoes)

What we deduced as hardcore japanese May’N Fanboys. They were totally the concert’s OUENDAN!!! people who ensured we all cheered the right way ]D (loud and heartily)

May’N as a LIVE singer now is literally as awesome as she is a recording artist. I remember back midway into Macross Frontier I watched a few youtube shows of her singing “Diamond Crevasse” only to find it sounded mildly constipated and not as strong as her show recordings. Her outfits and dancing in youtube posted Singaporean conventions seemed all too trashy and her general dress sense seemed so old (On one outdoor live show of “Northern Cross” she wore this thing that made her look like such a hag;;; It never occurred to me that she’s a year younger than me). On her first show for “Iteza?Gogo Kuji Don’t be late” she managed to go so off tune so hard that I never thought of being a fan of hers, and her first post-macross CD was kind of…meh.

But the ridiculous amount of practice she got from the whole Macross season really helped her a lot in building her singer image *__* Around the time “Pink Monsoon” was hyping, her stage shows were visibly becoming increasingly more uber. Her singing got ridiculously strong as the Universal Bunny CD popped out amongst her Shangri-La OPs. Gone were the strange giant candy cane dancers and strange hybrid cowgirl outfits and in came really drool worthy young contemporary clothes- and god her STYLES CD songs were so much younger sounding than the weird hybrid ghetto things she’s been churning prior to MF (I…truly don’t know how else to describe it other than ghetto hybrid…truly. I can’t.).

In ways I am glad it took her so long to actually see Hong Kong, cause her first trip to little-ol-Hong Kong was really uber. Her shows, her styles, her song, the woman didn’t go off tune at ALL in the 2 hour long stage show, even as she ran around the stage, waved about, danced and belted like hell (Heck by the time she reached “Iteza?Gogo Kuji Don’t be late” near the end of the show she was belting LOUDER THAN EVER. Crazy I say ;____; ). She also sings exactly like her recorded sound now which is crazy impressive for me.  She’s my superwoman and I hope she only gets better, as she is the first pop concert I’ve attended and the first singer CDs I’m buying (Kyoko and I rushed ahead to buy the STYLES CD after the LIVE. It was truly that good.) . Also whoever claims Megumi Nakajima is the “Cute” one out of the two is clearly blind or hasn’t seen May’N in person, because she is insanely cute. I’m sure I’ve said this many times but really, for someone who sings with such a strong voice she’s far cutesier than Nakajima would ever hope to be in her ill-matching loli dresses.
